Terms of Service

Welcome to Meetsies. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Meetsies mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Meetsies LLC (“Meetsies,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Meetsies. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.

Meetsies is currently available only within designated service areas in the United States. We reserve the right to expand or restrict service areas at any time.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update that information as necessary.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person, use a false identity, or impersonate any person or entity. One account per person is permitted.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or are used in a manner we deem harmful to the Service or other users.

3. Acceptable Use

Meetsies has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. We do not permit, and will not tolerate, content that is harmful, offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, threatening, or otherwise objectionable. Accounts that post objectionable content or engage in abusive behavior will be permanently removed.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post, share, or transmit objectionable content of any kind — including content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, or threatening
• Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or harm other users
• Send unsolicited commercial messages or spam
• Post or share false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate any person or create fake profiles
• Collect or harvest personal data about other users without their consent
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

Content Moderation: All user-generated content (including Glimpse answers) is subject to automated filtering and community reporting. Content that violates these Terms will be removed. We review flagged content and act on reports within 24 hours. Users who post objectionable content will have that content removed and will be permanently ejected from the platform.

To report objectionable content or an abusive user, use the report button on any content within the app, or contact us directly at support@meetsies.com.

4. In-Person Events

Meetsies is a platform, not an event host. We connect people and facilitate logistics, but we do not organize, manage, staff, or supervise events. All Meetsies events are held at independently operated third-party venues. By joining an event, you acknowledge that:

• Meetsies is not the organizer, operator, or host of any event and is not responsible for what occurs at or around any event venue.
• Attendance is at your own risk. We do not screen or conduct background checks on attendees.
• We are not responsible for the conduct of any attendee, venue staff, or third party before, during, or after an event.
• You are responsible for your own safety. Use common sense and trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, leave and contact local authorities.
• Event details (venue, time, capacity) are subject to change or cancellation. We will notify you of significant changes.
• Check-in requires geolocation and a selfie photo, which is used as your event avatar. Event avatars are deleted within 48 hours of the event’s connection window closing. During an event, your location is also used to detect when you have left the venue; coordinates are checked in the moment and are not stored.

5. Payments

Access to Meetsies features is provided exclusively through a recurring subscription, as described in Section 6.

6. Subscriptions

Access to most Meetsies features requires an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Cancellation and refund policies are governed by the platform through which you subscribed.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (profile text, photos, messages). By submitting content, you grant Meetsies a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you submit and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

We do not endorse or control user-generated content and are not responsible for any content submitted by users.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that you will meet compatible connections, that events will result in meaningful connections, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MEETSIES AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Meetsies and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app Settings. Deletion removes your profile and personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Monroe County, New York, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or confidentiality violations.

Additional Terms for iOS Users (Apple App Store)
The following terms apply if you downloaded or access Meetsies through the Apple App Store. These terms are required by Apple and supplement the Terms of Service above.
Acknowledgment. These Terms are between you and Meetsies LLC only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Meetsies LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
Scope of License. Your authorization to use the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules. You may not distribute or make the App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices simultaneously. You may not transfer, redistribute, or sublicense the App. If you sell your Apple device, you must remove the App from it beforehand. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, modify, or create derivative works of the App or any part thereof, except as permitted by applicable law.
Consent to Use of Technical Data. You agree that Meetsies LLC may collect and use technical data and related information — including technical information about your device, system and application software, and peripherals — gathered periodically to facilitate software updates, product support, and other services related to the App. This information may be used in a form that does not personally identify you to improve our products and services.
Maintenance and Support. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services for the App. Any support questions should be directed to Meetsies LLC:

Warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults and without warranty of any kind. Meetsies LLC expressly disclaims all warranties and conditions with respect to the App, including but not limited to the implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement of third-party rights. In the event the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
No Warranty (User Acknowledgment). YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. SHOULD THE APP PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION.
Product Liability. Meetsies LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
Intellectual Property Claims. Meetsies LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim relating to the App.
Limitation of Liability. TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MEETSIES LLC BE LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. In no event shall Meetsies LLC’s total liability to you for all damages exceed fifty dollars ($50.00).
Export Compliance. You may not use or export the App except as authorized by United States law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which you obtained the App. The App may not be exported or re-exported into any U.S.-embargoed country or to anyone on the U.S. Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals List or the U.S. Department of Commerce Denied Persons List or Entity List. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are not located in any such country or on any such list, and that you will not use the App for any purpose prohibited by United States law.
U.S. Government Rights. The App and related documentation constitute “Commercial Items” as defined at 48 C.F.R. §2.101, consisting of “Commercial Computer Software” and “Commercial Computer Software Documentation.” The App is licensed to U.S. Government end users only as Commercial Items and with only those rights granted to all other end users under these Terms.
Third-Party Beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Governing Law (Apple EULA). Notwithstanding the Oregon governing law provision in Section 9 of the Terms of Service above, your license to use the App on Apple devices, and the relationship between you and Apple with respect to the App Store, is governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflicts of law provisions. Any disputes related solely to your App Store license shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located within Santa Clara County, California.
